Thallus to 10 cm wide, membranous, rounded, adnate or not, smooth, matt or slightly glossy, without isidia, olive-green to brownish green. Lobes 6–8 mm broad, few, rounded to elongate, imbricate, lobulate; margins ascending, crisped, deeply lobate. Apothecia scattered or dense, to 1.5 mm wide, laminal to submarginal, sessile with constricted base or broadly adnate; disc flat becoming convex, white-pruinose, sometimes grey-pruinose; thalline exciple thin to moderately thick, entire, smooth, not prominent, disappearing. Asci 65–85 × 13–20 µm. Ascospores 30–65 × 4.5–6.5 µm, fusiform, straight to curved, with acute or obtuse ends, thin-walled, 6–8-celled, sometimes constricted at septa, sometimes septa indistinct, end-cells sometimes longer than others. Pycnidia common, to 260 µm wide, laminal; pycnidial gel hyaline or pale yellow. Conidia 4–4.5 × 1.2–1.4 µm, straight, slightly swollen towards ends. | ||
Occurs in the temperate Southern Hemisphere, but is most common in New Zealand and southern Australia (W.A., N.S.W., A.C.T., Vic. and Tas.). | ||
